A Perfect Day. An Incredible Community. A Meaningful Impact.

There are some days when everything just seems to come together.

The weather. The people. The atmosphere. The reason everyone showed up in the first place.

The 6th Annual County Cork Wine Pub Charity Golf Tournament was one of those days.

Held at The Links at Challedon Golf Club in Mount Airy, Maryland, this year’s tournament brought golfers, businesses, sponsors, friends, and supporters together for an incredible day benefiting Target Community & Educational Services, Inc.

And honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better day.

The weather was beautiful. The course was filled with energy. There were smiles everywhere. But what made the day truly special had very little to do with golf.

It was seeing a community come together.

More Than a Day on the Golf Course

For more than 40 years, Target Community has helped adults with disabilities live full, productive lives through residential, vocational, day, and educational programs.

That work happens every day.

It happens when someone develops skills that help them become more independent.

It happens when someone finds meaningful work.

It happens when friendships grow, new experiences become possible, and someone has greater opportunities to participate in the community around them.

Events like today’s golf tournament help make that work possible.

Every foursome that registered, every company that sponsored the tournament, every person who donated, and every individual who helped organize the day became part of something much larger than a round of golf.

They became part of the community surrounding Target Community’s participants.

And that matters.

An Incredible Partner in The County Cork Wine Pub

Our gratitude begins with The County Cork Wine Pub.

Being selected as the beneficiary of the 6th Annual County Cork Wine Pub Charity Golf Tournament is an incredible honor for Target Community.

The County Cork didn’t simply put Target Community’s name on an event.

They brought people together on our behalf.

They used their relationships, their reputation, their time, and their platform to introduce more people to Target Community and the work being done every day to create opportunities for adults with disabilities.

That kind of community partnership has real value.

To everyone at The County Cork Wine Pub who planned, organized, promoted, coordinated, and worked to make this year’s tournament such a success: thank you.

We are incredibly grateful that you chose Target Community.

To Our Sponsors: You Showed Up

A tournament like this simply doesn’t happen without sponsors.

Businesses throughout our community chose to put their names behind this event and, in doing so, behind the people Target Community serves.

That’s worth celebrating.

Sponsorship isn’t just a logo on a sign at a tee box.

It helps create the event. It brings people together. It generates support. And ultimately, it helps organizations like Target Community continue creating opportunities for people with disabilities to live, work, learn, build relationships, and be active members of their communities.

To every sponsor who supported this year’s tournament, please know how much your involvement means to us.

You didn’t simply sponsor a golf tournament.

You supported people.

You supported opportunity.

You supported a stronger and more inclusive community.

And we are deeply grateful.

This Is Carroll County

Perhaps one of the best parts of the entire day was looking around and seeing just how many people had come together.

That’s Carroll County.

It’s local businesses supporting local organizations. It’s friends inviting friends. It’s people giving their time and resources because they believe the community becomes stronger when everyone has an opportunity to be part of it.

Today was a pretty remarkable example of that.

The golf was fun.

The weather was about as close to perfect as anyone could ask for.

The setting at The Links at Challedon was beautiful.

But the thing we’ll remember most is the people.

People showed up.

They showed up for Target Community.

More importantly, they showed up for the adults with disabilities who are building careers, developing independence, forming friendships, learning new skills, pursuing goals, and creating lives of their own with support from Target Community.

From Everyone at Target Community: Thank You

To The County Cork Wine Pub, thank you for choosing Target Community as the beneficiary of this year’s tournament and for creating such an incredible day.

To The Links at Challedon Golf Club, thank you for providing a beautiful setting for this year’s event.

To every sponsor, thank you for investing in our mission and our participants.

To every golfer, thank you for filling the course and making the day so much fun.

To every volunteer, organizer, supporter, and member of the community who played a part, thank you for showing us once again what makes this community so special.

And to Carroll County, thank you for continuing to show up.

Days like this remind us that Target Community’s mission doesn’t happen within the walls of one organization.

It happens throughout a community that believes adults with disabilities deserve opportunities to live full, productive lives.

Today, that community showed up in a very big way.

We couldn’t be more grateful.
